The Great Minnesota Getaway

With the unofficial start of summer this weekend, it also means the beginning of cabin season in MN. This will be the first time since I can't remember when that the weather will be fantastic, usually it's rainy and cold Memorial Day weekend. My in-laws have a cabin "up north" and I'm looking forward to a few days of relaxation and basking in the sun. I'm bringing a few chick novels and my iPod with me and I'm going to spend the weekend lying on the dock just chilling.

On Monday I'm dragging the hubs to the see SATC 2. I've heard mixed reviews about it, but I'm still really excited to see where the story picks up and if there are answers to some unanswered questions. I'm also really curious to see what pans out with Aiden.

UGH! The heat

It's going to be in the 90's the next few days here and DH decided on Friday night to clean the A/C and get it ready for the summer. While he was cleaning it he did something and it shocked the tool he was using to clean it. He turned on our A/C yesterday and it didn't work (of course, why would it?) so he called Center Point Energy and made an appt for yesterday between 1-9, well around 7 he called again to see when they were coming and the person he spoke to couldn't find the appt. You've got to be kidding me!!! He talked to a supervisor and she said they have an opening for this morning and someone should be here between 8-11. I really hope they come soon and are able to fix it today without any issues. I slept in our downstairs bedroom last night because it's a lot cooler, but with temps in the upper 80's and 90's the next few days, it's not going to stay that way for long.

It's Finally Friday!!!

I'm so looking forward to a relaxing weekend, we've spent the last two weekends bouncing from relative to relative. I want to deep clean the house as I haven't had the motivation interest to do so yet. My husband needs to fix the hole in our bathroom wall that has been that way for about a month now. I also plan on kicking off the weekend by downing a glass bottle of my favorite wine. Happy Friday!

Where it all began

This is my very first blog post. I've thought about blogging before after following so many other blogs and being very entertained by them. The main purpose for my blog (at least at this point) is to write down all my thoughts and frustration with TTC. We've been TTC for a year now, without obvious success. Deep down I had a feeling that we would have issues get pregnant...no scientific reason for this. Now that it's been a year we are headed to the doctor to begin the process of testing and getting answers.
